The predicted 15-inch MacBook Air might be released in April or May
The manufacture of displays for the reported 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to increase, and its release is now predicted to take place in late April or early May.
Ross Young, a display expert at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), tweeted about the rumored 15-inch MacBook Air on Monday to his premium subscribers. Young has talked about rumors about devices before.
Young explained in his reader response that production of the larger MacBook Air’s display started in February and increased in March. Apple will reportedly make its debut in late April or early may following another rise in manufacturing in April, according to rumors.
With regard to Apple leaks and speculations, Young has previously claimed that the 15-inch MacBook Air will be released in the spring of 2023. If rumors are accurate, the display will be 15.5 inches, falling between the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
Although it is predicted that it would look exactly like the M2 MacBook Air, there are contradictory rumors about the chip that it will employ. It may have an M3 CPU, the most recent model in Apple Silicon’s line of Mac CPUs, according to some rumors.
Commercial production isn’t expected to start until later in 2023 because the M3 processor might use a 3nm chip technology. It is more likely that the MacBook Air will contain an M2 Pro or M2 Max chip given that there is now a MacBook Air with an M2 chip.
The time of the launch is another issue. It might be too late in the year for a spring product launch unless Apple unveils the New MacBook Air via a press release rather than a keynote.
