The new look of the $450 phone makes it seem more expensive than it is.
The Galaxy A54 5G from Samsung is aiming to make a splash in the budget phone market at just $450, but if you preorder one at Samsung today and turn in your old device, you can get it for only $200. The Galaxy A54 can be preordered with a set of wireless Galaxy Buds Live earphones for just $50, a $100 savings.
Last year’s Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy S21 FE qualify for the massive $250 instant credit, and you can get even more than $250 off by trading in a more current, high-end Samsung phone like the Galaxy S21 Ultra or Galaxy Z Flip 3. Even if your phone isn’t a Samsung, we’ll take it! Newer iPhones and Pixels can fetch as much as $337.
The Galaxy A54 5G packs a powerful punch in terms of hardware. It has 128GB of built-in storage space that can be extended by a microSD card of up to 1TB in size, a 6.4-inch screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 5,000mAh battery (the same as the Galaxy S23 Ultra). In addition to its 50-megapixel primary camera, the Galaxy A54 5G also sports a 12-megapixel ultrawide and 5-megapixel closeup lens.
If you reserve a phone from Samsung, it will arrive unlocked, allowing you to use it with any network provider of your choosing. They are available in both lavender and graphite. Samsung also provides new customers with three months of Spotify Premium, six months of SiriusXM streaming, and two months of Adobe Lightroom when they reserve select devices. Samsung anticipates preorders of the Galaxy A54 5G will begin arriving on or around April 11. The official release date is April 6.
