The latest generation of Nvidia GeForce graphics cards, the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 780M is a new model which will be officially announced on September 10th 2021 and launch on October 5th 2021 onwards (see our article for more info). As it’s been revealed they will also have 1 GB VRAM memory, but no mention if we are getting an Intel UHD 620 or not.

The GPU models based on this upcoming series include:

Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti

Nvidia RTX 3080

Nvidia Jetson TX1K

Nvidia Laptop GPUs

Nvidia Tesla Neo

Nvidia Ampere

Nvidia Founders Edition GPUs

Nvidia RDNA 2

Nvidia Quadro MX8

Nvidia Ampere Max

Nvidia FidelityFX Super Resolution

Nvidia Game Performance Optimizer software will be included with these products as well. These should offer similar performance to existing parts so you won’t need to upgrade your system. However, due to their popularity, many developers already have updated versions available. For example, Epic Games has released a beta version of its game Unreal Engine 4 – this will give us an idea of what games will work with each one and provide some general info on potential issues. We can expect that the update would make our current titles compatible with the new AMD graphics cards but there might be other changes like reduced frame rates and framerates. It should be noted that although the base games should run, there could be bugs in the driver that cause gameplay to lag. That’s why Nvidia recommends playing games at 60 FPS instead of 120 FPS. This is something you will experience right away. It won’t be 100% perfect and the drivers might still fail certain aspects but it will definitely help.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT may be part of future editions as well. Although the company doesn’t specifically mention it by name I assume we will see them eventually. In general, it seems like we will see different configurations of cards from various companies. If you want to read about all cards currently on market, you can check out our article about those here: https://www.techradar.com/blog/2021/10/nvidia-gef-gtx-770-s-announcement/. On top of that, we can also see another card from Asus called Zephyrus Aero RGB. This may also be an official successor to the Zephyrus M15 Pro. If those two cards become popular, then maybe it will be possible to get both. All of this information is coming soon from AMD so you can expect these to show up during the next round of announcements.
